In a car, the area where you can look for a clear sky is much wider than with a snowmobile, so the probability of finding the northern lights is higher.
When traveling by car, the temperature outside does not affect the comfort of the trip. If the weather is really cold, the customer often doesn't stay still for long. You can always warm up in the car if it's cold outside.
The Northern Lights tour in the evenings and at night can be difficult for children and adults with a fast travel style, and fatigue starts to set in. You can also take a nap in the car, and the children often sleep for part of the trip.
If the activity is high and the Northern Lights stay in the sky for a long time, it is easy to move to several different photography locations with the car.

Our Aurora Guarantee Experience promises either a successful sighting of the lights or a full refund – no risk, just the possibility of a lifetime memory.
Your evening begins with a comfortable pick-up from your accommodation in Saariselkä, Kakslauttanen, Kiilopää, Muotka, or Ivalo. From there, your experienced local guide will take you away from the village lights and deep into the Arctic wilderness, always choosing the route and location based on the latest aurora forecasts and weather conditions. Unlike many tours that stay in one fixed place, we are true aurora hunters, driving further whenever needed to reach the clearest skies and the best viewing spots.
To make the experience last forever, your guide will capture professional-quality photos of the Northern Lights, as well as portraits of you under the glowing sky. The images will be sent to you the following day at no extra cost. Guests are also welcome to bring their own cameras, and our guides are happy to share advice on how to set them up for the perfect aurora shot.
The tour typically lasts three to six hours, but we never rush. If the lights appear late, we simply stay longer. The experience is easy and suitable for adults and children aged five years and up. All you need is warm winter clothing, enthusiasm, and a sense of wonder.
Our Aurora Guarantee is clear: if the Northern Lights do not appear and cannot be captured on camera during your tour, you will receive a full refund. If the weather makes it impossible to run the tour, we will either reschedule or cancel with 100% refund.
